Program 1: Personal Care Support Services

Program Description:

This program provides assistance to eligible individuals with daily needs and personal care tasks. This program aims to:

  • Alleviate burden: Reduce the stress on families caring for elderly individuals.

  • Maintain quality of life: Enable recipients to remain in their homes and receive the care they need to maintain their independence and well-being.

  • Support family caregivers: Offer respite and assistance so they can balance their caregiving responsibilities with other obligations.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for this program, applicants must meet specific criteria, including:

  • Income guidelines: Demonstrate financial need based on income and asset levels.

  • Care needs: Require in-home personal care services, such as assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) or instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs).

 

Program 2: Affordable Housing Solutions for Seniors

Program Description: Independent Living and Co-Living 

This program offers affordable independent or shared living options for seniors who desire an independent lifestyle but may need or prefer support and companionship.

By providing safe and affordable housing, this program aims to prevent social isolation and homelessness among older adults.

Key features of this program include:

  • Shared living: Residents share common areas, such as kitchens and living rooms, while maintaining private bedrooms and bathrooms.

  • Supportive services: Access to on-site or off-site support services, such as meal preparation, transportation, and social activities.

  • Affordable housing: Rent-controlled units to ensure affordability for moderate to low-income seniors.

  • Community building: Opportunities for social interaction and engagement with other residents.

Eligibility Criteria:

To qualify for this program, seniors must be: (This list is not exhaustive)

  • Age: 60 years or older.

  • Have Income: Social Security (SS, SSDI, SSI), Pension, VA (Disability, Retirement).

  • Independent living: Be able to live independently without assistance.

Social needs: Demonstrate a need for social interaction and community.
